EMDR Therapy

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy was first developed by Francine Shapiro, PhD to help people who had experienced trauma.  EMDR therapy can help some people recover from very painful or distressing experiences more quickly than traditional talk therapy.  EMDR therapy has several stages which are described well at Dr. Shapiro’s website.
